The Floor Manager Manage department supervisors, Section and department in charge and other employees in the level, such as back-store and stockroom workers (Merchandizers), salesmen and in charge personnel. It is the assistant level manager's responsibility to ensure that all employees properly serve each customer that comes into the store. The retail environment is highly competitive and customer service is of utmost importance.
1. Making sure the shop floor runs smoothly
2. Meet the store's monthly targets and handle budgets
3. Rotate and train staff in different sections based on experience and expectation.
4. Deal with any enquiries and complaints and monitor customer service
5. Serve customers as needed
6. Put together the rotes and shifts
7. Check that the products and assure they are well displayed
8. Takes inventory, places orders and ensures the accuracy of all orders and transfers, according to company’s operations.
9. Motivate the staff and get it to work as a unit, perhaps by offering incentives (Commission) or bonuses according to the target set.
10. Demonstrate how products and services are properly used, and follow up with supervisors to perform the same on the floor.
11. Check daily the sales reports.
12. Check out the showroom display and make sure all items cleaned and arranged also well-ironed, in case of garments.
13. Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with supervisors and sales staff related to sales and suggestion to increase it.
14. Submit all reports related to the staff regarding the absent, late, annual vacation to the HR department.
15. Checking the Availability, Multi Location, Best Selling, Aging, Magazine Sales, Basket Sales, Pallet sales, daily reports on weekly and monthly basis.
16. Follow the GRN, Purchasing Requisitions, Adjustments, Stock Transfers, new arrivals etc.
17. Visiting warehouse or stock clearance check once a week
18. Cooperate with the Management to develop Marketing programs and criteria to achieve sales goals.
19. Staying updated with latest marketing trends and competitors activities.
20. Manage the overall performance of staff in the level.
21. Analyzing, reporting, recommending new items with new companies to enter the showroom.
22. Coordinate Advertising Campaigns and sales Magazine Promotions, and Check staff displays and advertising items.
23. Evaluate Current Marketing programs and suggest the improvements.
24. Handle customer problems and assure customers satisfaction to the level.
25. Conduct meetings with suppliers and prepare agreements with new and possible suppliers
26. Dealing with local suppliers
27. Market survey and study including market visit on monthly basis.
28. Maintaining customer relationship programs and track customer satisfaction.
29. Direct and guide employees engaged in sales, inventory –taking, reconciling cash receipts and performing services for customers.
30. Implementing safety, Health and security procedures and rules on the level.
